King of Prussia Business Improvement District
A group of business property owners have gathered to investigate the feasibility of establishing a business improvement district in Upper Merion. This effort is to enhance the business environment and ensure that the business areas of King of Prussia remain desirable. The property owners, along with Upper Merion Township, have contracted with Carter Van Dyke Associates, The Atlantic Group and Gregory Blue and Associates to create the Business Improvement District.
What does a Business District Mean?
There are proposed services and improvements in the following categories:
- Physical Improvements
- Marketing & Communications
- Transit Advocacy
- Land Use & Ordinance Improvements
The currently proposed first year budget is approximately $1.1 million
The BID is proposed to have a 5-year sunset date whereby it can be renewed by the Township and the property owners.
